Knowing the quality of time spent wondering what is meant for us here on our portion of time living, it came to pass as a moment of lucid reasoning that what we believe is in fact something we already know and should not question. May I explain this; life to some is a quest, some search for answers, others for meaning and purpose, but in fact a search is merely meant to find an answer and nothing more.

To acquire knowledge is a beautiful thing for the mind, it sets the soul on a common pathway with thoughts and feelings that reason in harmony with expectations; however much of what is learned, directly pertains to a persons needing for purpose. A certain yearning that what is known is not enough and therefore the journey of purpose of life begins.

In a way this makes sense if what is being searched for is this and only this, but life is so much more. I stumbled upon a reasoning that made more sense to better capture the need of “feeling complete”.

Though life is a constant quest and a journey non the less, here lies the difference: Purpose of, or in life as a search for answers, vs: Purpose of life as a “knowing and continually gaining knowledge” , summed to “Contribution”.

Contribution as a deed in life rather than a specific fulfillment of a particular need.

You carry through in life what you may, but contribute what you can. What will you deem worthy of leaving behind? Now this may bring the following comments…legacy..Well, this can be, yet to categorize it would be to minimize the expression.

The contribution should be of a personal sort. It may stand for a belief or perhaps act as a personal stamp that grants you the remembrance that serves witness to your existence.

Life being seen as a Contribution to other lives, rather than a yearning for purpose and personal relief to the unknown.
